Slowly but surely Microsoft is losing hold of the web browser business. According to recent surveys, Internet Explorer usage has dropped 8 months in a row and is now below 68%. Firefox, on the other hand, has grown increasingly in popularity and now commands 21% of the browser market share. This is a huge deal considering IE once owned the web browser business. Also big in the market is Safari commanding just over 7%. Macs are surely becoming popular. As a web design company we cannot ignore Internet Explorer and ensure our designs are compatible with IE7 and IE8. For testing purposes, we use Firefox and Safari to review our code and review our design in IE to address their quirky inconsistencies.
